Halo Covenant Jackal Costume (Kig-Yar) Complete (including progress pictures)
***Proud Member of the 405th*** This is my jackal costume which took about 8 months to make. The armor is made out of cardboard sealed with paper tape. The skin is fabric, airbrushed for detail and with some areas speckled with liquid latex. The mask is a cardboard base with clay and liquid latex. The stilts have a wooden base and are cardboard, fabric and stuffing. The jaw is hinged to move with my mouth, and I have digitigrade stilts to make my legs look more jackal-like. The stilts’ toes bend when I walk. Also, the shield lights up with LEDs. The Jackal also has some scars on his arms, a massive bullet wound in one shoulder, and a slash on the side of his head. Thank you, I appreciate your respect and kindness. However…They’re the ones that need to change. Knowing them, nothing will be good enough, because since I’m a female they’ll always judge me based on my irrelevant external appearance rather than my artistic ability. Maybe someday they’ll learn.
And…since I’m trans…I just can’t wait to see their reaction when I post on here suddenly looking like a really? buff dude. Bahahaha. XD
